"Mixed Doubles" is the ninth episode of the third season of Magnum, P.I. which originally aired on December 2, 1982.
Plot[]
Magnum is, once again, duped into free investigation work. This time, as a tennis player in a pro-am tournament, Higgins pairs him with a rising star instead of the veteran he had chemistry with years ago when he was serving in the US Navy with her brother. Magnum is tasked with protecting a young tennis pro who is being threatened.
Synopsis[]
Magnum plays bodyguard to a young and bratty tennis star who is receiving death threats. The assignment reunites him with an old flame - who is also the prime suspect in the case.
